Attendance at St Paul's

At Forward As One it is our ambition to have every child in school every day and therefore a robust and effective attendance strategy is implemented in every school.

Attendance is everybody’s responsibility and Forward As One’s school senior leaderships teams strive to build a culture where all staff are clear on their roles and responsibilities and therefore can be held to account. To enable all staff to fulfil their role, clear systems and procedures are implemented and are understood by all and applied consistently.

Forward As One’s approach focuses on preventative measures and swift intervention. This allows leaders to plan for contextual challenges, alongside educating parents on the impact of absence from school both academically and socially.

The key principle underpinning the approach of early intervention is to develop partnerships with parents to understand the barriers and work with families to remove them.

Star Gazing!

We had such a wonderful time at our Star Gazing event! It was lovely to welcome families to school and together we found out about the solar system and beyond! We had lots of fantastic activities to undertake, such as watching how the Moon, Earth and Sun interact, creating wonderful pieces of art, using a telescope to look for stars (it was a bit too cloudy!) and of course, having an explore of our own space themed role play area! We also had space shoes and a wonderful free app, Sky Guide, that you can use on phones, which helped us to see what was in the sky, behind those pesky clouds! We look forward to having more events and seeing lots more families joining us soon!

Pupil Advisory Board

This is our Pupil Advisory Board. The children had to formally apply for the roles, stating why they saw themselves as a good leader and why they wanted to be under that department. Going forward,  they will meet with other Pupil Advisory Board's from the other schools in the Trust each half-term to discuss key issues.  The children represent the following departments: Department of Educaton, Department of Environment and Safety, Department of Vision, Values and Ethos, Department for Rights and Justice, Department of Sport, Media and Culture and the Department of Health and Wellbeing.
The Advisory Board members have already been tasked with a special task by Mrs Asani and we can't wait to see what fabulous ideas they can bring to the school!

Our World Book Day winners took a trip to the wonderful Madeline Lindley to choose their prizes! Lots of the staff wished they could have gone too!
