Outdoor Learning
Mrs Hill is our Curriculum Leaders for Outdoor Learning This is what they say about their subject. We are looking forward to setting up an outdoor learning area for the whole school to use. Our vision for the future is to implement a fabulous outdoor learning area which will give the children so many different learning opportunities. |
Our Outdoor Learning Curriculum
Learning outside has a range of benefits for learning. Just being outside in natural environments changes how we feel. Children feel calmer, more optimistic and inspired. This, in turn, means that children will become more successful at emotional regulation and social interaction. Relationships change, children will be more ready to learn and will have a better-developed sense of self-worth.
These changes will not be confined to the outside, but will then taken back to the classroom. We hope that every child will get the opportunity to use our outdoor learning area and will learn lots of skills and become better and more skilled learners from it.
